Commissioner Public Relations chairs the meeting of Public Relations Officers
Raipur, 31 July 2021 Commissioner Public Relations Dr. S. Bharathidasan chaired the meeting of Public Relations Officials at Samvad Office, Nava Raipur, today. While addressing the meeting, Dr. S. Bharathidasan said that public relations officers have an important role to play in taking the government welfare schemes to people. All the public relations officers should extensively promote the schemes being implemented by the government with the support of media so that more and more people can get benefit from these schemes. District Public Relations Officers from all the districts of the state attended this meeting virtually. In the meeting held today, Dr. S. Bharathidasan said that development works and flagship schemes of the state government are benefitting a large number of people. Success stories based on positive change in lives of the beneficiaries are being released regularly. And other people in need are also being motivated to take advantage of these schemes. Dr. Bharathidasan said that in addition to the print and electronic media, social media platforms should also be utilized to promote the government schemes. Timely distribution of publicity materials including the monthly magazine Janman from Directorate of Public Relations should be ensured. Dr. Bharathidasan has directed the officers to do field visits, interact with the beneficiaries and gather accurate information to compile the success stories. Dr. Bharathidasan has asked the District public relations officers to immediately inform the Directorate about the incidents of accidents, especially those involving casualty or property damage in the districts. Commissioner Dr. Bharathidasan also reviewed the progress of works under various branches of Directorate of Public Relations and gave necessary directions to the officers. In the meeting, Additional Director Mr. J.L. Dariyo, Mr. Umesh Mishra, Mrs. Jamuna Shandia, Joint Director Mr. Alok Dev, Mr. Sanjeev Tiwari, Mrs. Harsha Pauranik, Mr. Santosh Maurya along with Public Relations Officers of Directorate and District Public Relations Offices were present.
